Mail servers are simple in theory: they handle the sending and receipt of email. Unfortunately, in practice mail servers are much more complicated. Storage, reliability, and backup challenges increase complexity by multitudes. Add the need for anti-virus, fail-over, as well as all the features that Exchange offers users, and the system becomes very complicated.

Our Mail Server Solutions

• Designed using a modern SMTP server (qmail)

• Fully compatible with Outlook

• Runs on Ubuntu Server, a flavour of Linux, a proven, stable server platform

• Works with open source anti-virus, anti-spam and filtering tools. Eliminating the need for Exchange specific tools

• Does not use the proprietary JET Database

• Is therefore not vulnerable to JET Database corruption

• Instead uses the file-system, one folder per user and one file per message

• Any file backup solution works with the system, therefore eliminating the need for an Exchange-specific backup tool

• Offers faster performance on lower-cost hardware

• No licensing issues to worry about
